Study and explore the Spanish and Basque language and culture while you participate in activities such as hiking, cultural events, and the conversation partner program with local students. 

Take advantage of outdoor recreation and live in a stunning location on Spain's beautiful northern coast, twenty minutes from the border of France- with easy connections to Madrid, Bilbao, and major European cities. 

Immerse yourself in the local culture through cooking classes, learning Basque folk dancing, wearing a crazy costume in a carnival parade, and learning to play the txalaparta.

Pace's Partner Application Process:
Steps to Study Abroad (May2022)

Pace's Study Abroad Application Deadlines:
  • Fall Semester: March 15
  • Summer Term: March 15
  • Spring Semester: September 20

When selecting courses for USAC, you’ll need to seek Course Equivalency approval from a Pace Department Chair, which could take some time, and your academic advisor. Read more about the process of obtaining Pace academic credit for courses taken abroad.

    • Pace tuition and fees, including a $100 Study Abroad Fee are billed to the student account. 
    • Room charges are the responsibility of the student and are paid directly to the host institution.
    • Out-of-pocket expenses (airfare, meals, local transportation, etc.) are the responsibility of the student.
    • All federal and state financial aid apply during the semester abroad. Up to $12,500 of institutional financial aid (Pace scholarships/grants) applies to the semester abroad. (Portability of Pace institutional aid is limited to 2 semesters, and Pace tuition remission does not apply.)

ENSURE YOU ENROLL IN ENOUGH CREDITS DURING YOUR SEMESTER ABROAD!!
A minimum of 12 U.S. credits is required during a semester abroad.

NOTE: USAC San Sebastian offers two summer sessions: Session 1: May 26 - June 29 Session 2: July 1 - July 31 Pace students must indicate which summer session they intend to participate in (1, 2, or both) on their initial Terra Dotta application.
