  •  Note: This estimated budget has been prepared for the purpose of calculating eligibility for Financial Aid, and to serve as a guideline that assists students and their parents in budgeting for the additional living and discretionary expenses abroad that are not included in the cost of Pace University tuition.
  • Actual figures may vary, and individual expenses may differ - due to personal needs, spending habits, and currency exchange rates. It is each student’s responsibility to verify and understand actual costs and expenses for their program.
  • All amounts are expressed in U.S. dollars and are based on current exchange rates at the time of preparation.

Additional Considerations:

  • Housing: Based on the estimated cost for average housing. Cost may vary depending on accommodation style (residence hall, homestay, apartment), single or double occupancy, location, and length of the term.
  • Meals: Based on the average estimated cost for meals during the term. Cost varies depending on accommodation type (self-catered, meal plan, homestay) and personal preferences.
  • Airfare: Cost is based on round-trip NYC departure and return.
  • Passport Fees: Requirements and estimated fees based on U.S. citizenship. Non-U.S. citizens may have different requirements and associated costs. Cost of passport photos not included.
  • Personal expenses: The total amount of personal expenses listed above can vary depending on personal spending habits and individual needs. Personal expenses include, but are not limited to, cell phone purchase/usage, entertainment, etc.
FINANCES
Program fees (tuition and fees, room and/or board) are the responsibility of the student and are paid directly by the student to the host institution/program provider. A $100 Study Abroad Fee is billed to the student's Pace account. Any out-of-pocket expenses (airfare, meals, visas, etc.) are the responsibility of the student. Federal Financial Aid applies to summer programs as long as the student is enrolled full time for summer (6 credit hours); a separate Summer Loan application is required. Pace institutional aid (scholarships/grants) and Pace tuition remission do not apply.

CREDITS
The maximum enrollment is 8 credits for Summer I and 8 credits for Summer II. Pace students are not permitted to take more than 8 credits during a summer term. Students are also not permitted to take courses at Pace (in-person or online) during the same Pace Summer Session in which they are studying abroad.
